timestamp¶

Print the current date and time in a human-readable format including timezone. Detects TZ from the environment if unset, consulting timedatectl, /etc/sysconfig/clock, /etc/timezone, or Solaris equivalents.

Exit codes¶

• 0: Always

Output on stdout¶

• Date/time string: "Www Mmm DD HH:MM:SS AM/PM TZ YYYY"
